Made it from Fl. to Va. on a tank of gas!

All that way on one tank of gas! Did I mention that I was on the Amtrak Auto Train! Either way I'm now back in Va. now. It's nice not to have to drive 800 miles in a lifted CJ! I usually have to stop to pee more than I do for gas!

That's funny. I was thinking that you had an air mattress full of gas in the back seat with a hose running to the tank like they do in drug planes from Columbia. By the way, how much did it cost to ride the train? I think about it every time I head to Florida, but never really find out about it.

Take it easy

Re: Made it from Fl. to Va. on a tank of gas!

The price wasn't to bad...just $285 for me and my Jeep. My Jeep had to go into a Van slot on the train, so that cost a little more.
It's definitley worth the money though!

One more thing....if you ever take your CJ on a train...make sure you tell them they can't shift a T18 from 1st to second
while moving!! The only thing I heard was this loud grinding noise as the guy's driving it away!!
