Dana 41 Axles

I have a CJ2 and a CJ5, both have the offset differential. The 2 has the 41, and the 5 has the 44. I have found a Warn kit with full floating axles, I would like to find out if there are any one piece axles made for this application. I have been told the Warn kit will fit both the 41 and the 44 as long as the spline count is correct. I have numerous extra axles and carriers so the spline count is not a problem.

I heard that you can use the shafts from a D44 in D41 too. I think lock-right makes a locker for it to.

gotta do hella work to these boys

Re: Dana 41 Axles

I realize that to make the 41 durable for any type of hard use would take a lot of work. But the CJ2 that it resides under will most likely not see any real harsh use, that is what the CJ5 is for. The CJ2 is just for fun. I would keep the two piece axles, but I just don't like them.
I still have the flat-head that came in it and have no plans of changing it. The only non-stock item this little Jeep will have will be the axle parts and seatbelts. It might get disc brakes on the front if I can find a suitable master cylinder that will work with the original pedal configuration.
