willis rebuild

i am thinking about trying to get my willis all org. but i think the front was changed when my father-inlaw had it built ( i got a set of shoes for a 48 the front didn't fit)
i was trying to find out what was put in the frount .WERE DO I START ??

What part of the front are you typing about? I assume since you said "shoes" you mean brake shoes on the front axle? The front axle for a '46 would be a Spicer 25. Check out the MVPA (Military Vehichle Preservation Association) website (do a search for it, I dont remember the address). If you dont find your answer's there, you will at least find a link to it!
