cj8 1/2cab on cj7

before i dive into my next project i wanted to post it up here and see if there is anything i missed. i am planning on putting a half cab hardtop on my cj7. this would mean i would hafta completly redo my entire full roll cage...no problem but is there anything else i am missing? will it bolt directly to my body tub and windsheild frame?

you can lead people to the truth, but you cant make them understand it.

I am also considering this. I believe you would have to fabricate a divider panel. If you are looking for a top, CJ8'er has one, and he is willing to ship it, I was considering buying it, but decided that I better figure out what body I am going to use before I buy. If I don't buy it, I might as well help CJ8'er sell it.

Thanks, Ray

Re: cj8 1/2cab on cj7

i was thinking of doing this a while back but abandoned the idea becasue i couldnt think of a way to have a 6 pt roll cage and still have the top removable.......

if any one had ideas for this let me know?

As far as rollcage ideas....what if you made it modular....kinda like the TJ's setup....i know it wont be as strong as a welded joint, but with a few grade 8 bolts in the right places, i'm sure it'd work~
