Change lifters via cylinder head?

I finally need to swap my lifters, the only question is which way to go?
Is it possible to change the lifters via the cylinder head at the 4-151 engine, or do i have to remove the intake manifold for this job?

Thany in advance

Re: Change lifters via cylinder head?

Ummm, isn't the intake manifold bolted to the head? If you are proposing removing the head aren't you in effect removing the intake at the same time?

O.K. Let`s do this more precisely; I meant via the push rod holes in the cylinder head

If it is the iron duke there is a acess cover on the side of the block u will have to remove the valve cover and take the rockers off and take the pushrods out
