New England Rebuilds

I live in RI, and need to have the block of my 360 machined. Does anyone live in the area /conn/mass/ri and know of a good place to have it machined, I don't mind driving the block around.

Re: New England Rebuilds

Andy,
I am in the MA/RI/CT corner. Call A&D Auto Parts in Worcester, MA 508-756-6229. They are a full service machine shop, and are a reputable shop. The other places I've dealt with in the Worcester area are General Automotive in Worcester (for rebuilt heads) and Milford Speed Equipment in Milford MA on performance parts (in my old 60's chevy impala days). Sorry, don't have those numbers handy

Keep in mind, I've never had a bock machined at any of these places, but I've had heads rebuilt by them and bought a lot of parts.

In order of preference - probably A & D, General, and Milford Speed.

I know there are guys here in MA so you will likely get other responses also. Best bet is likely to check a phone book, stop by the shops and ask them a lot of questions.

Good luck,
Pete
