Fenderectomy!

Check out the attached file. It is from the book "Jeep 4x4: Performance Guide" by Jim Allen, page 123. I tried scanning it, but it didn't come out too well. Good enough to see what they did though!

Doh! Somehow I chopped off the top 2/3s. Here it is again, bigger and better, but it will take about 20 seconds to load

Check this out:

Pay close attention to the "modified" Parking lights in the grill.... a tragic case of CJ envy. Me, I think it looks pretty good. Though the modification is on a TJ, I'm sure the same process could be adapted to a CJ or a YJ. It's a modification I'd do on my CJ if my welding and fiberglassing skills were better.

Re: Fenderectomy!

Wow, that TJ looks great! (did I say that out loud?) Very nice job. Would love to do that to my CJ.

Re: Fenderectomy!

No kidding. The wife is wondering why I'm looking out the window at her TJ the way I am. I am going to do something similar to the Scrambler's fenders, looks nice.

Re: Fenderectomy!

I've been trying to convince my brother to mass produce some bolt-on fiberglass flat fenders for CJs, YJs and TJs. They could be made in
different widths for tire coverage. Do you think there would be enough interest to make this feasible?
