D30 U-bolts

I have a '76 CJ5 and recently installed 4" lift. Should the passenger side inboard u-bolt rest directly on the axle tube or on the diff housing where axle tube comes in. The Rancho u-bolt kit had 3 u-bolts the same size and one slightly larger that facilitated mounting on the housing.

Can you guys check your CJ5s and let me know?

My other vehicle is an Aircraft Carrier.
