Steering bos wooble

I have a 1984 CJ7 and have 31" tires. My problem is that the steering seems loose. I changed the steering box and checked the steering shaft and could see no slop. I noticed that the steering bow was moving were it attaches to the bracket that attaches to the frame. The frame is fine. Does anyone make an additional brace to secure the box better?

Re: Steering bos wooble

there are several companies that make steering gear braces. some places to get them are four wheel drive hardware, quadratec, sam's off-road, jc whitney, and currie enterprises. there was someone on here that made one from a chevy 350 connecting rod and some tubing.
