iron/alum. intake question

Does anyone know off-hand if my PS and alternator brackets can be swapped from my newer 258 to the old style with the cast iron intake manifold? thanks Brendan

Re: iron/alum. intake question

I switched my iron manifold to a newer aluminum and the power steering unit bolted up the same , the alternator is mounted on the right side so shouldn't be affected.

Re: iron/alum. intake question

Yep, I switched from the cast iron 1 barrel manifold to the aluminum 2 barrel on my '75. The power steering bolted up exactly the same. I had to switch the exhaust manifold as well because the flange which is used to clamp the manifold to the head was a different thickness on each type.
