Heater upgrade ????

Since its had turned cold, I have figured out that the heater in my 83 CJ sucks. This is my first winter in a Jeep. It isn't too bad here in Texas yet, but those early morning trips to the deer lease are starting to get to me. I would like to get this fixes before it really gets cold.

I know there has to be a way to get that thing to blow hotter. The blower motor blows fine, also I know I can upgrade that to a 77 blazer motor. Could I change the thermostat? Any ideas?

Re: Heater upgrade ????

Yes you could add a second heater. I've see one added on a early Bronco the heater was out of a Toyota and this guy put it right under the drivers seat.
