I saw where you used a "79 Firebird master cylinder for 4-wheel disc brakes. Does this bolt to the stock CJ booster? I have an '84 CJ-8 w/ power brakes? Any help adding rear discs would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it bolts right up to the stock CJ booster. You might also want to install an adjustable brake rod and relocate the booster bracket 3/4" higher or go with a dual-diaphragm GM booster for better stopping power.

Re: ? for Jeepskate

Hey Jeepskate,

Any additional information on the dual diaphram booster? I printed out a post about mid 80's S10 booster being the one I wanted. But then last weekend while I was strolling through the junkyard, I noticed the S10 booster mounts directly to the firewall. I was expecting to need to find a set up like the factory jeeps had. Can I use this booster mounted to my firewall?

Thanks

DREW

Yes, you can use the booster mounted to the firewall. Many vehicles came this way in the last several years including newer YJ's on up.
