Re: pic of my jeep and nifty ram air

rooted it down under my bumper and put a little scoop on it. i would never use it for off road use but its 1700 miles home. and i have to take my jeep so i'm trying to squeeze a coupple buck in gass milage out of her. i have a k&n air filter in it too.

Re: pic of my jeep and nifty ram air

Be very cautious of deep water crossing if the air intake is too low.

Why don't you put a screen of some type on the scoop, keep the big chunks out, like low flying birds!

Re: pic of my jeep and nifty ram air

ha ha ha low flying birds. well as i said befrore its just for the road trip i hope i don't find any deep water crossings on I 80. last summer i got around 14 to 16 mpg on the trip without the ram air. im hopeing to get 15-17 or even 18 mpg on the highway with it. going 70 should push some nice cold dense air down my intake.
