Wanta Free Flexalite Fan?

Any of you hot-rodders out there want a nice, flexalite fan and spacer for your Jeep? I just took one off our 304 and am looking for a stock fan with a clutch setup. I was going to buy a new clutch anyway, but it takes the fan with the big center hole. For a clutch.

Can you use the stock clutch fan from 4.0L 6 cylinder?

Re: Wanta Free Flexalite Fan?

I'm not sure. I would have to look on my ZJ and see what it looks like. I was thinking that I probably should get a seven blade fan, but to tell the truth, I never counted the blades on the ZJ. What vehicle and what year is the 4.0 L in?

I thought you were going to turn that into a clock for your garage, Dave.

I condidered that, but I have to be careful around this moonguybunch. They bounce off the walls a lot and they could cut themselves.

Dave,
It might be better to hold on to that flex fan until the snow bunnies and their RVs come back up north in the spring. They just love those things!!

Re: Wanta Free Flexalite Fan?

They have the stock fans and clutches at NAPA...I just made that same swap...except it wasn't a flex fan in the Farmjeep...just a regular fixed blade fan.

Measure once, cut twice...or is that the other way around?

Re: Wanta Free Flexalite Fan?

The fan was a seven bladed fan. They had it in 18" (stock size, I believe) and 19", same bolt pattern, same hole in middle. I just pulled the old fan and spacer off, bolted the new fan to the clutch, and bolted the clutch to the water pump/pulley. The clutch was $30, and the fan blade was $40. Not cheap, but cheaper than my local Jeep dealers were quoting me. I had looked at a few junkyard fans, but they were all in pretty putrid condition. I feel as though spending a few extra dollars the first time (or even twice as much, in this case) will save me money in the long run.

p.s. about your smoking computer...maybe you could get it that patch, or some nicorette gum
