Spring clamps

Can you remove the spring clamps without causing problems? Want to gain a little flex. Tried to straighten the bend around the springs, but only spreads them apart. Don't have a torch to heat them up, using bfh and chisel. Up front i have 2" springs on 2.5 perches, so the u-bolts are not tight against the springs. Not sure if they will move around or not.

Re: Spring clamps

Removing the clamps all together will let the springs fan out and you won't like that . I suggest you use a large adjustable wrench to try to spread they straight up in the air, or just leave them like you have them now - every little bit helps
