First snow run this Fall!
I just got back from wheeling at 9:15 pm. The original plan was to go up and throw some shingles on a miners cabin up in the Tobacco root mtns. Usually a fairly short trip, we figured we could leave a 9 am, and make it to the cabin by noon. Cook up some burgers and chile, spend a couple hours throwing up some shingles, and make it back to pavement by 5. WRONG. We ended up getting about 10 vehicle on this trip, and really didn't expect more then a foot of snow on the trail. We had a couple of somewhat inexperienced guys along, but we where all inexperienced at one time, and the only way to learn is to do it. We made it to the cabin by 5, unloaded the materials, and headed back down. The plan is to head up next spring to do the roof. I had a total blast, even with all the delays. This is going to be an awsome Winter for wheeling.
