stretching a post \'76 CJ5

Ive been playing with the idea of stretching a CJ5. I have a 79 that would love to reach 104 in wheelbase. I have studied everything I can find and am almost ready to cut some metal (have to work out that lack of garage thing first). All that I would have to do would be to cut the body just as the CJ6 was cut, at the wheel wells, and insert a splice plate with reinforcing. The floor could be simply a sheet of metal reinforced or a storage locker. The frame could be stretched by cutting it just before the spring perch and adding twenty inches of similar sized box tubing with a tube the same size as the internal size of the frame rails inside of it protruding into the frame rails. This would be welded up, the inner tube welded with rose weld through the frame rails. It could conceivably be done for less that $500, and that buying the metal pre formed (I found some shop that sells replacement CJ6 parts...pre76, but still on the back of the body, the same). What Im after though are some comments by those who have done this, or those who have thought this through. Special nod to High5 whose pic looks like its been nicely stretched.
