Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on my Truck?

Does anyone have Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on a daily driver? I am thinking about putting them on my F-250 CrewCab. Do those tires have any siping? How are they on wet streets? What do you expect your tread life to be?

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on my Truck?

I have 35's on my daily driver YJ. No sipping. Pretty stable on wet streets for 35's. Don't know about tread life. I doubt that they have been around long enough to get any opinions about tread life.

That being said, they are the best riding mud tire I've ever been around. The tread pattern is wicked and throws mud well. They have plenty of sidewall tread. The sidewalls are, however, stiff. This is b/c of the durawall technology that makes teh sidewalls so tough. Go to the Goodyear site, and check out the load rating for the tire size that you will be ordering. Make sure it is enough for your F250. A little sidewall breaking iin would be good for a better ride.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on my Truck?

I think YJason discussed the performance of the tire pretty well. I haven't used them in mud, but have done a lot of crawlin anc couldn't be happier with them. As for miles, I am pushing 20K on my commuter rig, and am amazed at the lack of tread wear. They don't look new anymore (and have had some pretty good chunks removed from the rocks), but at the rate they are going, I will at least get 40K out of them, and more than likely 50K. At that kind of life, the additional cost of the tire is well worth it.

It's ALL good!

I have them on both my 72 CJ5 and Toyota Tacoma. They are great, don't roar on the road, and handle mud very well.
