Roc-Lok pros and cons

I've been kicking around the idea of the cable actuated Roc-lok by BDS. Anyone have any experience with them or is there an easer/cheaper way to replace the vacuum disconnect on my YJ?

Re: Roc-Lok pros and cons

There is a cheaper version out, it's the Whitey posi-lock. I think it's about $40 cheaper or so.
I've also been told (can't confirm) that you can just move the shift fork to permanently lock them sorta like a TJ.

Re: Roc-Lok pros and cons

You can also get a passenger-side axle shaft from a Cherokee and put it in to do away with the stupid disconnect altogether
