Rear Disc Brake question/help???

Hey Guys,

I am doing the TSM rear disk brake kit on my Dana44 on my CJ-7 and they say that Cadillac Eldorado rear calipers can be used. I was at the yard today and saw a set of Caddy Seville rear calipers and snagged them up cheap. They are the ones with the cable e-brake setup. Anyone know if these are the right ones? Same as eldorado? I always hear the Eldorado ones being used. Are there many variations of this GM rear caliper?

Any input, opinions and URL's are appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Rear Disc Brake question/help???

i'm thinking there are 2 different kinds of rear GM calipers, (not sure)
i'm am sure that one of them has 2 mounting bolts holes 20 millimeters apart, (not 4", i made that mistake building some) and these are refered to as the small GM metric ones.
LOL

Re: Rear Disc Brake question/help???

hey 3/4 ton

i just measured the mounting holes and they appear to be 5 1/2" inches apart. The allen wrecnh to take these off was SAE (3/8").

Are these the wrong ones?

Thanks
