97 tj lift / tire size?

How big of tires can I run with a 1-2" body lift and 1-1.5" spring spacers? How big can I go before the 2.5L becomes an absolute dog because of gearing? Thanks, Jake

Re: 97 tj lift / tire size?

with about 3 inches of lift you could go up to 32" and not have to worry TOO much about rubbing. you might be able to go bigger but i wouldnt recommend it with the 4 banger.....or for more Ooomph try adding MSD and a k&n...you'll be amazed

i met a guy who had a big green TJ on 38's but he only had a 4 banger....he wasnt going anywhere but it was very cool after he got the 350

Re: 97 tj lift / tire size?

You could for sure fit a 31 or maybe a 32 if cost is an Issue I'd get a 31" mudder because they are pretty cheep and easier to find than a 32
