4cly to 6cly swap

is there anywhere where they have documented everything to go from a 95 fuel injected 4cly wrangler to droping in a 6 cly from a cherokee or another wrangler? and all the stuff you'll need to complete the swap in a fast amount of time, i'm thinking abut doing that soon, rather than droping in a V8 or such just people is jeep parts with jeep parts and i want the fuel injection of a 91+ 6 cly thanks!

Don't do it man. Did the same thing. There are no kits. the engine to frame mounts R N diff location for the 4 and 6 cyl. plus you'd better have the harness (wire) & computer from the doner vech. I had to modify the one that came out of the cherokee. didn't just plug and go. If I can Be of any futher help let me know. oh spent over 6k doing it and while it runs it's still not quite right yet

It is hard. I have tried it twice now. I don't have the tools or knowhow to do it myself, so I have tried to get a pro to do it. I have had the motor twice in there with the Jeep and they said we can't do it. Different guys the second time. If you do try, make sure to get the transmition with the moter because the 6cyl won't bolt to the Ax5 trans. This could put you into a positoin where you need to move the transfer case and then you are looking at new drive shafts.
But it is not impossable. I Will swap out my 2.5L some day. You may look into a chevy 4.3L There are tons of kits to do it and they put out the same #'s as the 6cyl. Good luck

I did it in my 89 Wrangler. Picked up a 96 Engine and an 89 XJ donor vehicle. Works awesome. Best thing I could have done! I even installed the XJ's computer controller AW4 automatic and 20gal gas tank!
