Re: Outboard spring hangers version 2.2

hey dude!

looks like a nice job!
Im curious what front axle your using?
Im using a wag front 44, and I dont think mine are that far outboard of the frame?

hmm. what measurment pad to pad on your front axle?
and is it perfectly centered?

I had some good pics developed of mine to scan and post, but now they are GONE, in my vast abyss I call a home.

I might quick cam some later and post them.

Re: Outboard spring hangers version 2.2

OzarkJeep i am running a D44 out of a 76 Blazer. It 31.75 for center of pad to pad. I know it is going to be wide, but where i am we only have mud and some sand around the rivers and lakes. Got tired of getting high centered on the big boy's rutts.
High5 thanks for help and recommendation to gusset the hangers.

Re: Outboard spring hangers version 2.2

ahh, ok! I was just afraid my measuring might have been askew or something!

how are you mounting the steering box to your driverside bracket?

also, it looked like you moved the front axle as far forward as you could ( I did the same thing) my front hangers are flush with the front of hte frame.

IM adding gussets to the stock spring hangers now.

keep us updated with the wide/ride!

Re: Outboard spring hangers version 2.2

Ozark the steering is the hard part. Looked around at different styles and companies. I think i am going to go with steering arm, draglink, and maybe pass. side knuckle from R&P 4wd (http://www.r-p4wd.com/java/products.htm).
Will run a 4" drop pitman arm and hopefully the draglink will be some what parallel to the tie rod.
