Spare 231 parts?

I won't know for sure until I get time to tear it down, but I think that I am going to need the Range fork shift hub, and the Low range gear. Probably need to replace the shift selector and the range fork too. This will be the second time I have had the transfer case apart this year. Last time it was an output shaft.

Re: Spare 231 parts?

I've got an '89 NP-231 that came behind a BA-10. Everything is the same as the later models except the input shaft is 21-spline instead of 23. $300 +shipping (I know, its a lot more parts than your looking for!)

Re: Spare 231 parts?

Really? I see D-300s going for $200-300. Even D-18 and D20s going for $100-150. It's been out of my Jeep for about...5 months(?) and was working fine when the tranny went. How about $150?

Re: Spare 231 parts?

Sycho 15,

I am in the Fortwalton Beach FL area so If I decide to Buy it I would probably just drive to Tampa and pick it up. Let me think about it ( in other words talk with the wife) and I will get back to you.
