4.2 to TF-727 (kick-down linkage)

Where is the kick-down linkage on a TF-727 and what does it look like? Can I use a linkage that went to a 360 on my 258?

Hey, I'm an Old Hand now. Funny, I don't feel any smarter

Restoring a '74 DJ-5C Its missing the alternator. At first the Ammeter gauge just didn't work but now its missing an alternator

Hey there Sycho,
the linkage from the 360 won't work on your 258. the 360 has a hinge point that bolts to the back of the head on the drivers side. The one on the 258 is one piece model that has a few bends to it.
I have one for a 258 if you need it, actually I would trade you for the one that you took off the 360 if you would do that.
If you want to do this just e-mail me at my home address. [email protected]

I don't think the stock 360 linkage will work either. It wouldn't work in my CJ (smashed against the firewall - wouldn't work properly). I ordered the kickdown cable from Summit Racing - it helps with installation a lot, and works well.

'82 CJ-7/360/727/D300/M.O.R.E. shackles and lots of ideas!

Have you kissed your JEEP lately?
