Manual Steering

If I want to change my 1982 CJ-7 from power steering, do I have to do anything except buy and install a manual steering box? Do I have to change Pitman arm, etc.? Thanks!

Re: Manual Steering

You need a new pitman arm, and a new bottom half of the steering shaft. Why are you converting? I've got a manual box, but no pitman arm...I've got the bottom half of the steering shaft (kind of...it has the coupler you need, but the other end is butched...) If you want 'em, send me an e-mail.

Re: Manual Steering

I have a manual steering box with pitman arm and steering shaft. I would like to get rid of it so if you want it, send me a private message.
