4.0 head differenc3s..

Ok, I know that 94 and later 4.0 are more desirable (to most) due to the FI being Mopar rather than Renix, but is the head casting the same?
I am having trouble locating a newer head in my area, but have run accross several 91's that I turned down. My plan is to go with the 4.0 head on the 258 and run my Weber on the 258 intake manifold.
TIA,
Bob

If I remember right for the head you want a '91 and up. The early 4.0 engines are less desirable because of a supposed rod knock problem which has nothing to do with the head. The '91 head is the first year of the HO head and uses Mopar EFI and not Renix. Check Jaffer's site for more information.

Also- I belive the intakes and valves on the 91+ heads are better...but I could be mistaken

Restoring a '74 DJ-5C It runs and drives and delivers mail...well, 2 out of 3 aint bad
