How does everyone post a .jpg that is under 100,000 bytes? I can't get mine less than about 250,000.

I have MS PhotoDraw and Corel Photo-Paint 9.

You can either trim off extra stuff on the picture. Or open it up and shrink it in some program and then save it shrunk. That's how I got a large photo to fit. If you have an option to save it in a poorer quality dpi you can also do that.

I use a program called "iphoto plus" came bundle with my scanner.
