Inexpensive Suspension Lift

I found an inexpensive Heckthorn Economy Suspension Lift on JC Whitney's web page. I'm wondering if any one has used this lift, or knows of someone who has. And was it any good?
I would like to put about 2" of suspension lift on my '80 CJ-7, but I don't care about spending $400- $600 to do so.
Here is the site. $219 w/shocks

Re: Inexpensive Suspension Lift

Don't beleive that photo! If you read the description it says that the kit consists of Add a leaves, not new spring packs!! Basically it's four shocks and four new leaves for $219. I bought a Rough Country 2 1/2" lift for my 55, that came with Heckthorn shocks (same company???). I paid less than 500 bucks for it, and it was a complete kit. Shocks new spring packs u-bolts and poly bushings. Save another $250 and do it right.

They have a Superlift Kit for $400.

Re: Inexpensive Suspension Lift

You can buy BDS 2.5" lift springs for like $55 each, so for $220 you get 4 springs and another $120 gets you some ProComp ES3000 shocks... You won't get much cheaper than that...

But why 2" of lift? Almost seems like it is not worth it... I know I would not spend much money at all to lift something just 2". How about add-a-leaves front & rear? That is what I did on one of my old CJ5's and it worked great...

Re: Inexpensive Suspension Lift

I just got the Rosser catalog and they have Superlifts 2 1/2" for something like 398.00. They also have some lifts listed at 338.00 and I think they include the shocks. Here is the link
