TF727 Flexplate

Last year i swapped my 258 for a 360 and bolted it to my TF999. At the time i bought a new flexpate for the conversion. Now my TF999 is starting to slip and i plan to replace it with TF727. Can i use the same flexplate? I believe i read that the TF use the same flexplate when bolting to the 360 and the TH400 uses a different one. Thank You in advance

Re: TF727 Flexplate

yes it will fit.. but....you did order the 360 flexplate right?? because the 258 one is neutral balanced. if you ever get your 360 balanced, use one from a 258. some of the later 727's used a funky reduction starter. my 88 didn't.
but if your only asking if the bolt pattern in the crank is the same.. yes it is.

Re: TF727 Flexplate

Howdy stranger,

The tf727 torque converters came with two bolt patterns. It's been a while but i think the smaller (high stall) converter had the same bolt pattern as the 904/999. Look around and see if you can snag the one from the donor rig.
