weird idle

For some reason whenever I start up the it idles fine for about 10 sec. then the rpms drop and then jump back to normal. It only does this right after I start the jeep, and the other day it happened and the rpms dropped to the point that it shut off the engine. Does anyone have any idea what can be the problem or what to look for? Any advice would be much appreciated

Re: weird idle

If it's injected,It sounds like your computer is looking for perimeters.Maybe a sensor giving bad info,or being sluggish.I know ten yr's is a big difference in technology, but i had an 83 cj7 do the same thing.I did the Nutter bypass, and it aint missed a lick since.Course that was a computerized carburetor too though!!
