The run was out by Gold Strike, the we went West to GoodSprings and then North from there to a canyon that had not been run yet. It was a very brutal trail, and the lead vehicle(narrow track CJ) had a LOT of trouble in the side hill situations. I felt a little bad about talking everyone into going down inside the valley, but it didnt look that bad from the rim. The wider track Im running on the YJ made it look easy, but we spent most of the day getting the CJ out of the gulley, all the others worked there way back up and out of the top. The lower half got extremely rough but it was a lot of fun. The Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers took it all in stride, and the beer at the old bar(oldest tin building still standing in the US, still has bullet holes in the wall from a gun fight in the 1800s), in Good Springs tasted very good at the end of the day. There was a Biker run there yesterday so about 50 harleys were there when we got there, and before my first beer was finished, we had bets going that I couldnt climb the Widow maker hill out behind the bar, (I guess only bikes can climb it, or so they said), well a quick run up and down the hill netted a few beers and about $20, that I gave to Jeepchick to play the slot poker machines(she likes em machines I wont play them), well she almost immediately hit 4 aces for about $200, and within a few more minutes ahd made a total of about $300 and cashed out so we go have Prime Rib and lobster at Nevada Landing. All in all it was great BirthDay(Oh yeah did I mention that yesterday the 10th was my B day, I turned 41). Im meeting with the Vegas Valley guys today at a place on Rancho Blvd called Carry's. I got some great pictures yesterday ill post when I have all my scanner and all set up.
