Lockout hub conversion

I did a search and nothing came back on lockout hub conversions. I have a D44 from a FSJ, and it has full-time 4wd hubs on it. Warn has hub conversion kits but I want to know how to do the conversion before the purchase. Have you done this, and can give an explanation, or can someone refer me to a website where the conversion is explained? Thx for the help.

Re: Lockout hub conversion

Its a piece of cake. Just remove the stock drive gear in the hub and then install the Warn hub, it takes about 10 minutes a side. Be sure to keep your stock drive gears(I put them in a HD ziplock with a bunch of grease, then find a small box to place them in). It is wise to keep them with you on the trail in case one of the manual Warn hubs fail(and they occasionaly do), then you can just pop in the stock drive gear and continue wheelin with no probs(warranties dont mean [email protected] on the trail).

Re: Lockout hub conversion

Thanks H8, which to you prefer, the base level Warn hubs or the premium hubs?
