What does \"10 bolt\" refer to on an axle

Like a Corp 10 bolt. Is that 10 bolt on the diff cover? 10 bolts on the FF axle flange?
Thanks,

I believe it is the ten bolt on the axle cover. It is usually noticed and identified easier than the axle flange.

10 and 12 bolt actually refers to how many bolts hold the ring gear to the carrier. It just happens that they also made the covers with matching bolt counts.

Re: What does \"10 bolt\" refer to on an axle

Im not busting on anyone, But I think its neat how so many people think that its the amount of bolts in the cover..lol. I was one of them. There should be a 4x4 dictionary or something. Or 4x4's for Dummies or something...

Its friday, Almost time to go home and work on the CJ. I have to finish my rear winch setup.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
