Jeep shops...

What is the deal with Jeep shops? There are none in my area, (southeastern Michigan). Where are all those shops at that
you see in the magazines? Why are there none around me? Is this a business oportunity or is there no demand for it?
I have been working on Jeeps for a few years now and think it would be cool to build/rebuild Jeeps for a job. That way maybe I
could justify all the money I already spend on tools/shop/etc....

Re: Jeep shops...

Well, two of them that get frequent mention in the magazines are here in Farmington, NM...Off Again and All Wheel Drive! They build some very big buck machines, I was in AWD the other day, they were doing ground up buildups on 5 or 6 machines, gotta be some money to be made there!

Re: Jeep shops...

I've often wondered the same thing about my area. I'd love to open up a shop. There are a lot of people in this area that have to do it themselves or drive 2-3 hours to have it done.

Re: Jeep shops...

FLMudCJ, Alec78CJ, and I were debating the possibility of opening a Jeep shop. We all have our own ideas about marketshare and such, but there's a lot of competition in this area, daytona beach, FL. I think we can do it...George, write the check! There's that shop for rent beachside, you know......
