NY Mechanic

I have an '87 YJ and live in the New York City area. Anyone know of any good Jeep mechanics in the area. My current mechanic is pretty good, but he does not seem to know all the tricks of getting the Wranglers to run well. If anyone knows of any, please let me know. Thanks .

There is RMS OFFROAD here on long island #631-563-7411. they dont do standard sht, its all special, custom or aftermarket stuff. for a great mechanic,i personally use and recommend ALL AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE #631-669-0229. ASK for Harry. they are excellent!!

Re: NY Mechanic

Wranglers with the stock carter BBD carb don't run well, your mechanic is probably good if he can keep it running. The pulse air emissions system in your 87 is partly to blame. It will run like crap one day and fine the next...go figure? I put Fuel Injection on mine to fix the problem.

good luck with your 4.2.
