milk in my radiator!!!

I have be trouble shooting a coolant leak for awhile. I have visible water coming from around one of my manifolds, not sure if it is coming from intake or exhaust. It does not blow white smoke and have not be able to detect any water in oil. But now when I check my coolant, it is milky. I have drained it and refilled, let run a while and it turns milky. I have used some sealant in the system in the past, both aluminum style and pelts. What could be causing this???

Re: milk in my radiator!!!

It could be oil getting into the water at the head gasket. I had one do that about 8 years ago, bad head gasket, the radiator cap pressure was lower than the oil pressure and it just pushed oil right back into the water jacket. Hope this helps out, thats what it sounds like.

Re: milk in my radiator!!!

definitely sounds like an emulsified oil thing. so replace that head gasket. It's not as bad as you think. Just don't let it get out of hand.
