question regarding lift

I would like to know which lift you prefer. I have a 2000 tj and am looking for atleast 4 inches of lift to install 33 inch tires for serious rock crawling. I have been browsing for a month or so and am looking at Skyjacker 4 inch lift, what do you think??
I need great articulation etc also will be a daily driver....

Re: stupid question regarding lift

Skyjacker is ok if it has the long arms. I would wait another month for Tera's long arm kit to come out. RE has their long arm kit out but people are bending the lower arms too frequently easily.

Tera's has a bend designed in the arm to help with clearence.

My advice... be patient as there will be lots of new stuff in the TJ suspension horizon coming very soon.

Re: stupid question regarding lift

I've heard good things and bad things about just about all the 4" TJ kits.
I am somewhat Biased towards the RE (Rubicon Express) kit, as i've dealt with the guys there personally, and they really know their stuff.
I cant comment on anyone else.

You will be alot better off if you tell everyone what your goals are. If they are just to run 35's, the answer will be different than if you want a crawler.

Good Luck, and take your time, hopefully you will only do this one time.

BJ

See you on the pilf side

Re: question regarding lift

Now because I am a mud runner mainly, nad don't know what "hardcore" rock crawling is, I can't tell about actual experience. However, I have heard about Skyjacker's less-than-ideal warranty policies. It has come to my attention that if a CJ or YJ lift is used on, say, Rubicon, Skyjacker will no longer warant it. Apparently they think that "hardcore" is not for their spring's warranty. This isn't especially bad considering their outstanding flex and ride, but it is something to keep in mind.
