Power steering...

Hey,
Anybody knows how high the pressure gets in the YJ power steering lines and the steering box? I've just swapped an LT-1 into my YJ and am trying to adapt the power steering.
ThanX for any info!

Re: Power steering...

I don't remember for sure...it's over 1000psi I believe (could be wrong). I'd go to a machine repair shop or a hose shop and just have them build you a custom hose with the ends you need in the length you need. Don't try to use barbed ends and hose clamps on the pressure line!!

The jeep is up and runnin...damn...work work fix..the jeep is...damn...work work fix...the jee...damn

Re: Power steering...

I went to the Midway Track Parts and had the hoses made. They've used the Aeroquip 5K PSI hose and charged me $36 for everything...This hose will probably outlast my jeep.
ThanX!
