Anyone Want Howell Fuel Injection for $825

I talked to Howell about seeing if they would give a discount for a multiple order. They said if I ordered 5+ units, they would knock off $170.

They sell direct for $995 ($1095 California Legal). This would bring the price down to $825 ($925).

Is anyone interested in getting a Howell EFI and joining forces for some buy down power.

Once I get the list together, it will be forwarded to Troy Brown of Howell. Each person on the list just has to call and give them their payment method. No money has to go through me. We will just be getting some buying power, all warrenties and manuals are included.

Let me know if your interested. We must have at least 5 confirmed orders before we can get this price.

Howell's Website is www.howell-efi.com. It is a little out of date, since it doesn't list their Cal Smog Legal version, but it is available.

I may consider this. I am going to try one more time to get my Pro-jection to run right.I have one last idea of why it won't run. If that does not work I am up for one. It may be a little while before I do it. BTW good idea!!!seeya...

Oh sure, now you bring it up. I just got mine a week ago! RedSandDog, if you get in on this let me know. There are a few special things to consider when putting Howell on an older CJ.

snowtoe, and z50,
where did you mount your fuel pump? It says to mount it below the lowest part of the fuel tank. But I can't find a real good spot other than the frame rail, which isn't quite lower than the lowest spot on the tank.

I mounted my fuel pump on the frame rail so that it was protected by the tranny crossmember. Never had a single problem with it.

I also mounted my fuel pump on the frame rail. Howell's instructions (which need some editing) saw that the fuel pump should be mounted so that it is at or below the midpoint of the fuel tank. Jun11, you are using the Holley system aren't you? That might be the difference.

Let me know if about two weeks if you want in for sure. At that time I will finalize the list and give to Howell.

Good luck on the Projection. I hear that are a little difficult.

That has my interest! I'd like to know if I could buy a Howell Fuel Injection system for an 82 GMC pickup? I'd like to know if I could get a custom PROM chip?
let me know,
dave

Re: Anyone Want Howell Fuel Injection for $825

Which engine do you have? Looks like one for a small block will run $1200-2100. Depending if its a small block vs. big block. Manual tranny vs. automatic. Multiport or Throttle body.

Universal throttle body would be $1200.

Multiport would be $1700-2100.

I know that they do programming as well.

They told me that it didn't matter what combos of kits I got. But keep in mind the V-8 models are not Cal Smog Legal, if that matters.
