what does the j-10 have?

At least I think its a j-10. My buddy's relative at work has a j-10 (or j-20 how can you tell the differance) and he wants 2 or 3 hundred bucks for it. It has a 360 in it and runs with 66000 original miles and a quadratrak transfer case. I was wondering what axles these came with and if they would be worth swapping underneath my 78 cj.
One other thing he told me, it has the name honcho on the side and an eagle on the hood. later ken

Re: what does the j-10 have?

the j-10 you are referring to will have dana 44's front and rear. the axles on a j-truck will be rather wide for a cj and the rear dana 44 has the pumkin offset to the pass side. this means you will either need a q-track or a dana 18 x-case.

Re: what does the j-10 have?

Would it be worth narrowing the front dana 44 for my cj?

Re: what does the j-10 have?

well maybe if your planning on using one of the x-cases i mentioned. 2 or 3 hundred for a running j-10 is definatly worth it.
