anyone know how to identify amc heads??

Ok, i am putting an amc 360 in my scout II but i want to find out how to tell if the heads already have hard seats, or if i need to have them installed, i would also like to find out how to accurately identify what the motor is out of, and what the heads are out of. any help is appreciated.

The chart on this AMC page is a good reference for blocks, cranks, and head ID numbers ..

Also, you might want to try and find a parts store or auto machine shop hooked to a new Internet parts network. I can't remember the name network but it will ID engine parts down to the years of production with just the casting number.
