Driveshaft length in D44 for YJ

I have a 89 YJ with the 4.2L and 5 speed. I picked up rear D44 from an 87 Cherokee. How much do I need to shorten the rear drive shaft for the swap from a D35 to a D44?

By the way I have an Old Man Emu lift which is about 2.5".

if you are running the stock driveshaft with that 21/2" lift,my experience is that the d44 will not require you to shorten the dshaft.

Great, I was hoping I would not have to. It is so short as it is. I dont get any vibrations at all.
