Re: How many Jeeps have you owned?

Bought a 95YJ in 1995
Wife got 96XJ in 1997
I like hers so I traded 95YJ for duplicate 96XJ in 1997
Wife sold her XJ, now she drives mine.
Bought 95YJ Sahara in Nov 1999. Idiot hit me in May 2000, totalled
Bought new 2000TJ Sport w/D44 in June 2000. It will be built

I may not like what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Re: How many Jeeps have you owned?

Here's the list, for grins and giggles

80 CJ-7 with Iron Duke(first Jeep I owned, got it from my brother for $300, still have it)
78 CJ-7 (for parts for the 80 CJ)
77 CJ-7 (more parts)
85 CJ-7 (sold it to my brother after I put a glass body on it)
81 CJ-5 (can anyone turn down a $50 Jeep? I have $300 in it now and it runs!)
84 Grand Wagoneer (couldn't turn down a rust-free Jeep up here in upstate NY)

Others - 88 Bronco II (my wife's - only sees 4 wheel drive in the winter, but it would look a whole lot better with 31's,...uh, 33's,...Maybe 35's....)

Re: How many Jeeps have you owned?

in order
74 cj5 304
74 cj5 258
69 pu 460 ford
47 cj2a
53 m38a1 229 v6 chevy
52 m38 252 v6 buick
I have found with jeeps and fat girls they both get better with age. The newer one have a lot of makeup and pretty stuff the older ones have the guts.

Re: How many Jeeps have you owned?

'59 CJ-5 too much to list, still have it
'59 CJ-6, still building it, too much to list
'52 M38a1 race Jeep, still have it
'68 CJ-5, still have it, waiting to build
'89 Cherokee Laredo, bone stock, grocery getter, still driving it every day
'70 Jeepster Commando
'43 GPW script body Military, sold it to a guy who is restoring it back to original (he has the time)
'59 FC-170
'60 FC-170
'66 CJ-5, sold it
'52 M38a1, sold it
'44 MB, sold it

Only other 4by I've owned that wasn't a Jeep was a '76 Scout Terra. Frame and axles became part
of my CJ-6 when the body rotted off. (drove the Scout for 3 years wheelin' and to work every day).
That's all I can think of right now. That doesn't include parts rigs.Nickmil.
