2 drivetrain questions

1) If you swap in the Teralow 4to1 reduction into a dana300 what is the high range reduction in 2hi, if any?
2) In an 80 scrambler with a amc 304 v8 what 4 speed trannies will bolt up and work with the dana 300 transfer?

Re: 2 drivetrain questions

To the first question, hi range remains 1:1
To the second question, is this with or without adapters?

Re: 2 drivetrain questions

no offense but I wasn't looking for sarcasm. If you change all 5 gears in a transfer case there will be an overall reduction. Jerk off! Take your chrysler product and go somewhere else.

as far as with or without adapters. I can call advance if i want to know what will adapt, not an idiot on a bulletin board.

Thank you for the t176 recommendation.

Hey T_PALAU
Take your narrow minded mentality and go somewhere else.
All of us idiots on this BBS don't want it here.

Re: 2 drivetrain questions

Tim, I don't see where any sarcasm was offered in the posted responces to your question. If you don't accept the answers to your question as the truth, then go do your homework and seek out the answers on your own. Your verbage and attitude, however, are totally unacceptable on this BBS. This is a friendly forum of wheelers helping each other and it is an invaluable aid to those of us who long ago discovered that it is easier to benefit from the knowledge of others than to learn by trial and error(s) on our own.

Re: 2 drivetrain questions

So call teraflex, if you think the info provided was so bad. BTW: The original poster is correct. There in no reduction in hi-range with that kit.

You owe the original poster and this discussion group an apology.

Well, it's sad to see this type of ignorance on the site. That's why I'll be answering any questions via Email to the poster...no (or little) public posting for this ol'Jeeper.

Good Jeepin'

Re: 2 drivetrain questions

Looks to me like this kid was just looking to get a rise out of everybody. He doesn't even own a Jeep according to his profile. It also appears he doesn't know much about them, only a couple of Jeep terms like Dana 300 and 304. He probably just drank or snorted something he couldn't handle and was looking for attention.
