Dana 300 question

I lost one of the caps that go over the Shift Rod. There are normally 2 and I only have the one.

What will happen? I ordered one but it still hasn't come in. Will I only lose a little fluid or will this be a major problem? Thanks.

Re: Dana 300 question

If you are talking about those little round buttons that are about 1/4" in dia., don't drive without them. I would suggest putting a glob
of silicon in there if nothing else. When I did my t-case Jaffer had some small silver discs in case I needed them, he's a jeweler, so
maybe you can get something from a jewelers supply. I don't know about loosing oil, but dirt getting in there is the problem.
