Hardtop Durabak?

I recently picked up a hardtop and full doors. I would like to change the color of the top (to black) and was thinking of Durabak (instead of paint) for a couple of reasons:

1. I have it in my tub already and have been happy with it
2. I don't have any painting experience/equipment
3. It would probably be hard to screw it up

Does anyone have Durabak on their top already? How does it hold up to UV rays, etc? Happy with it? Thanks!

Re: Hardtop Durabak?

I'v been thinking of doing the same thing to my hard top. I have not seen one done yet, but I'm sure there are some out there. If you do it, let us know how it turns out.

Re: Hardtop Durabak?

I was thinking of doing my whole jeep. Not sure this would be a wise idea but would kinda look neat!

Re: Hardtop Durabak?

Just had both the interrior of the tub and the exterrior of the removable hard top done with Line-X. Looks good. I would expect it to hold up good as well.
