How to adjust brake pedal

I have an '80 CJ-7 and I can't find the adjustment for the brake pedal tension. I know its not self adjustable, but I can't find it. Where is it?

Re: How to adjust brake pedal

Are you refering to hard brake pedal, mushy pedal or low brake pedal? If it is hard brake pedal, it might
be your brake bootster is going. Mushy or low brake pedal, might be air in your brake system, low on
fluid or try to your rear brakes. I don't think there is an brake pedal adjustments on CJs. Hope this helps.

Re: How to adjust brake pedal

I concur with the first response. No adjustment for CJ brake pedals. However, Tri County Gear makes an aftermarket adjustable
brake rod to give you more leverage.

Re: How to adjust brake pedal

You need to be more specific about your problem could be a leaking master cylinder ...check your firewall below it for signs of leakage, the rear drum brakes are self adjusters when they work.
