Oil Pressure

I have had my CJ for two years. Until the last week 40 was the highest the oil pressure had ever gone. Now it will get up to 60 and 70. The Jeep has a 258 6 cylinder. It is an 85 model with 93K on it. Can anyone tell me what is going on with the oil pressure? Thank you in advance for any help. Kent

Re: Oil Pressure

Just a guess but it might be the guage, if nothing else has changed. Or it may be colder weather. I know that my CJ-7's 304 the reading is 50-60 psi until the oil warms up and then it will drop to 30-40 at 2k rpm. HTH.
