Re: Who has Durabak?

i got it straight from the company. There was a phone number in an older 4wheel & offroad magazine. I don't remeber which issue, but the stuff is great. You open it and it has little pieces of rubber mixed in it. Watch out though if you find it as much fun as i did, you might never get applied to the jeep
I am sorry but i don't remeber the number, but i will try to find it.

Re: Who has Durabak?

I ordered mine straight from the company. I am very happy with it. My understanding is that Herculiner and Durabak are made by the same company, it's just that Durabak can be ordered in other colors than black.

Re: Who has Durabak?

One piece of advice on applying it...remove anything in the jeep you don't want it attached too...second, take out the heater core duct...its quicker to take it out than try to tape and apply around it...

ok...so I gave 2 pieces of advice....well...its Christmas

Re: Who has Durabak?

The company is called cote-l...they have a distributer on both coasts. I just oredered a gallon of red to do the inside of my new fiberglass tub that I am picking up this weekend! The colored stuff is 139.00 gallon. The sales rep also said that Herculiner is the identical product which you can get in K-mart for under $100.00 same exact stuff...just in black only. I will be spraying mine on to get a more consistant look and be posting some pictures in a few weeks. I also bought a pint of yellow and am going to try to "fade" the yellow into the red to get a custom look.

Re: Who has Durabak?

Are we sure that Herculiner is the same as Durabak? If that's true, I'm IN. My auto parts has it for $99. Black is ok....we will have complete carpeting on all visible areas. If I buy the gallon size, it comes with an applicator kit. I want to really lay it on thick, so I would probably get a gallon size. Get this......here we are building a SNOJEEP, and as of this very minute it has NOT snowed....not a bit...the ski area owners are just really devastated, as are the service stations, the pizza joints, the donut shops, the tow truck companies. Maybe everything is waiting for us to get this SNOJEEP running, with our fabulous QUADRA-SNO Drive (A modified Quadra-Trac).
